Liverpool confirm USA tour and opponents

**Liverpool are set to return to the United States for their latest pre-season tour.**

The reigning Premier League champions last ventured across the Atlantic in 2024 ahead of Arne Slot’s debut campaign at Anfield after he succeeded Jurgen Klopp.

They took on Real Betis as well as their top flight counterparts Arsenal and Manchester United, racking up a perfect hat-trick of victories in friendlies.

More domestic opposition will be in supply when the Reds venture stateside this summer with Sunderland, Leeds United and Wrexham all confirmed opponents.

The tour opens against the Black Cats at Nashville’s GEODIS Park on July 25 before facing the Championship side at New York’s Yankee Stadium on July 29.

Liverpool will see out their transatlantic leg at Chicago’s Soldier Field on August 2, when Leeds provide the opposiiton in the run-up to the new campaign’s start.

Their pre-season tour comes hot on the heels of this summer’s World Cup, which will be hosted in the US, Canada and Mexico between June 11 and July 19.

Meanwhile Liverpool have seen two of their upcoming Premier League fixtures in April switched for broadcast purposes in Wednesday’s latest round of changes.

Fulham’s visit to Anfield remains on Saturday, April 11 but will now kick off at 5.30pm with the game confirmed as being shown live on Sky Sports in the UK.

The game falls on the same days as the 2026 Grand National at Aintree.

Slot’s side will also be screened in a maiden trip to Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium as the 248th Merseyside derby will now take place at 2pm on Sunday, April 19.
