The 2025 season will be Stefon Diggs’s only one in a New England Patriots uniform.

Diggs, 32, had signed a three-year, $63.5 million deal with the team last offseason. The release comes with a dead cap hit of $11.4 million.

A native of Gaithersburg, MD, Diggs appeared in all 17 games last season with the Pats. He hauled in 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. In four playoff games, he recorded 14 receptions for 110 yards and a TD.

A four-time Pro Bowler, Diggs previously spent time with the Houston Texans, Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings. In 161 games over 11 seasons, he has 942 receptions for 11,504 yards and 74 TDs.

Diggs was originally taken with the 146th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Maryland.

Last month, Diggs pleaded not guilty to felony strangulation/suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery charges stemming from a December 2025 incident involving a compensation dispute with a private chef. He is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Apr. 1 in Massachusetts’ Dedham District Court.
