Kyler Murray’s unexpected departure from the Arizona Cardinals has sparked widespread debate about where the former No. 1 overall pick could continue his career. Among those weighing in is former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III, who believes one destination stands out as an ideal opportunity for the veteran signal caller.
Griffin pointed to the Minnesota Vikings as a potential landing spot that could help Murray revive his career. The former quarterback suggested the combination of Minnesota’s offensive structure and surrounding talent could create the type of environment needed for Murray to regain momentum.

Murray entered the NFL with enormous expectations after being selected first overall in the 2019 draft and later earned recognition with multiple Pro Bowl appearances. Over the course of his career with Arizona, he displayed dynamic playmaking ability through both his passing and rushing skills while accumulating more than 20,000 passing yards and over 100 touchdown passes.
Despite those accomplishments, injuries and inconsistency complicated his tenure in Arizona. The Cardinals’ decision to move on from Murray signals a major shift for the franchise and opens the door for the quarterback to pursue a fresh start elsewhere.

Griffin recently said the Vikings are the perfect team for Murray. This can be seen in a post he made on his official X account.

Minnesota has been mentioned as a logical fit due to its offensive personnel and coaching approach. A quarterback with Murray’s mobility and arm talent could potentially thrive in a system built around creative play design and versatile offensive weapons.
As free agency approaches, Murray’s next destination will remain one of the league’s most closely watched storylines. Griffin’s suggestion highlights the possibility that the quarterback’s next opportunity could also become the turning point that reshapes the trajectory of his NFL career.
