NFL Star Myles Garrett Gets His 9th Speeding Ticket

NFL star Myles Garrett keeps having driving issues.

The Cleveland Browns star pass rusher has been ticketed for the ninth time, according to TMZ Sports. Garrett, the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft out of Texas A&M, was busted for going 94 MPH in a 70 MPH zone, according to reports out of Ohio on Wednesday evening, March 4.

The incident took place last month, after Garrett returned from the Winter Olympics in Italy.

"TMZ Sports has confirmed the defensive standout's green Porsche was pulled over on the highway on Feb. 21 around 1:35 AM … hours after he showed face at the Miami (OH) basketball game against Bowling Green," TMZ Sports confirmed the news.

"Although he was busted going 24 over the limit, the cop noted the two-time Defensive Player of the Year was 'kind and cooperative' in the remarks section of the ticket."

Garrett has racked up nine driving citations since arriving in Ohio after going No. 1 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.

His driving record prior to last month's citation include:

October 2019: Driving 91 in a 60 mph zone

May 2020: Driving 100 in a 65 mph zone

September 24, 2021: Driving 120 in a 70 mph zone

September 25, 2021: Driving 99 in a 70 mph zone

September 2022: Failure to control

August 2024: Driving 69 in a 60 mph zone

August 2025: Driving 100 in a 60 mph zone.

Former Browns coach Kevin Stefanski, fired by the team following the 2025 season, had said that Garrett needed to be more careful.

"He needs to slow down for his safety and the safety of others," Stefanski has said.

Garrett now has a court appearance scheduled for March 10, or he can pay for the ticket.

The former No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick can certainly afford to pay the ticket. He's made more than $151 million over the course of his career.
