EPL: Arsenal Extend Lead as Forest Force Man City To 2-2 Draw

Arsenal Football Club have extended its Premier League lead to seven points after a narrow 1–0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Stadium on Wednesday night, news.ng reports.

The Gunners defended their one-goal advantage, scored nine minutes after kick-off courtesy of Bukayo Saka.

Despite several scares from Brighton, the Mikel Arteta boys held on to their one-goal lead through the 90+7 minutes of added time.

Wednesday night’s slim victory for Arsenal (67) has extended their lead over Manchester City, who are currently second with 60 points.

City were forced to a 2–2 draw by Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium after taking a 2–1 lead in the 62nd minute courtesy of Rodri, but the Citizens lost their guard, allowing Forest’s Elliot Anderson to reduce the tally in the 76th minute.

Elsewhere, Chelsea crushed Aston Villa 4–1 to displace Liverpool from fifth position on the table.

West Ham United bounced back to winning form with a narrow victory over Fulham Football Club after they were humiliated by Liverpool last Saturday with a 5–2 defeat.

The Hammers are still in the relegation zone (18th) despite securing three points.
