Houston Rockets Make Alperen Sengun Announcement Before Warriors Game

On Thursday night, the Houston Rockets will host the Golden State Warriors in Texas.

The Rockets are coming off a 123-118 victory over the Washington Wizards.

Alperen Sengun finished the game with 32 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block while shooting 12/20 from the field in 38 minutes of playing time.

For Thursday’s game, the Rockets could be without one of their most important players, as Sengun is on the injury report.

The All-Star forward is averaging an outstanding 20.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 50.1% from the field in 53 games.

Underdog NBA wrote: “Alperen Sengun (illness) listed questionable for Thursday.”

The Rockets are coming off a season where they made the NBA playoffs for the first time since James Harden left the franchise.

They are currently the third seed in the Western Conference with a 38-22 record in 60 games.

Over their last ten games, the Rockets have gone 7-3 (and they are 20-7 at home).

Over the offseason, the Rockets acquired Kevin Durant, so there are hopes that the franchise can make run in the 2026 NBA playoffs.

They last made the Western Conference finals in 2018.

The NBA wrote (on February 7): “Alperen Sengun in today’s win: 17 PTS 12 REB 11 AST 3 BLK 3 STL He joins Hakeem Olajuwon as the only players in Rockets history with multiple games featuring a triple‑double, 3+ STL, and 3+ BLK 🚀”

The Warriors are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 31-30 record in 61 games.

They are 12-17 in the 29 games they have played on the road away from the Chase Center in San Francisco.
