PATRIOTS RELEASING DIGGS
Free agency will be here soon, and the Steelers are once again looking for an upgrade at wide receiver. They traded for DK Metcalf last year, but they need better depth behind him. There are several interesting receivers set to hit the market. Another former All-Pro receiver will be added to that group.
NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported on Twitter that the New England Patriots are going to release Stefon Diggs. He was one of the best receivers in the league with the Buffalo Bills, but he’s struggled since leaving them in 2024. He spent 2025 with the Patriots, catching 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. However, he’s dealing with legal troubles, so signing him might not be wise.

SPORTS BUSINESSMAN PRAISES PITTSBURGH
Pittsburgh is in for a big year, with the NFL draft coming to the city. It’s one of the biggest sports events of the year, and it figures to bring Pittsburgh a lot of business. While it isn’t the biggest city with an NFL team, Pittsburgh has a lot to offer.
Sports businessman Lou DePaoli recently offered Pittsburgh a lot of praise during an appearance on the Builders and Doers podcast. He’s worked for multiple sports teams in different leagues, including the Pittsburgh Pirates of MLB. DePaoli was asked what the best sports town is, and he said Pittsburgh. He explained that his time there showed him how passionate the fans are.
DRAFT FAN ENTRY OPEN
The NFL draft will be here soon, and the Steelers figure to be major players. They’re expected to have 12 draft picks in total. Therefore, they should have several opportunities to improve their team. While the Steelers might not land their next franchise quarterback, they can still add a lot of talent.
Also, the draft will be held in Pittsburgh this year. Steelers Senior Director of Communications Burt Lauten shared on Twitter that fans can now register to attend the draft. It should be an exciting time for those who can make it.
