Chelsea will do deal for£150M–Brazilian makes big statement–Chelsea in talks with midfielder

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea transfer news and gossip that you guys may have missed…

Chelsea are reportedly in talks with midfielder Enzo Fernández about extending his stay at Chelsea. and increasing his weekly wage, according to reports.

Sources close to CHELSEA say preliminary negotiations have already begun ahead of the summer transfer window. Chelsea have identified Fernandez, one of their standout performers since arriving from Benfica, as a cornerstone of their midfield and are keen to reward him accordingly.

Talks are still in the early stages, with both the club and the player’s representatives working to find terms that reflect his contributions this season.

Fernandez signed a long-term contract with Chelsea when he joined in January 2023 — a deal that currently runs until 2032 — but has increasingly become a focal point in the club’s engine room. His tactical versatility, ability to drive play forward, and knack for key contributions have marked him out as one of the most influential midfielders in the Premier League this term.

Despite links to European heavyweights like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in recent windows, the Argentine has made it clear through his representatives that he wants to remain in London and build on his progress.

Chelsea’s willingness to engage positively in contract talks comes as a boost for supporters, particularly given the club’s broader efforts to stabilise after a turbulent couple of seasons off the pitch.

Retaining top talent has emerged as a priority for the board and coaching staff, and a new deal for Fernandez — alongside talks over Moisés Caicedo’s terms — is viewed as central to that strategy.

Does Enzo deserve new deal?

His technical quality and vision have helped connect Chelsea’s defence and attack, with the 24-year-old often leading the team in chance creation, progressive passes and overall goal contributions during recent seasons.

That influence has also translated into decisive moments, including goals in major fixtures and a strike in the 2025 UEFA Conference League final as CHELSEA secured European silverware.

Beyond the numbers, Fernández has emerged as a leader within a young squad, occasionally wearing the captain’s armband and setting the rhythm in matches when the team needs composure.

If the reports are true, he deserves that new deal.

CHELSEA SET PALME PRICE

Manchester United have been told that it would take a fee of £201 million to secure the summer signing of Chelsea star Cole Palmer, a player the Red Devils have been linked with over the past few months.

Palmer has been one of ***CHELSEA***’s standout performers this season, quickly becoming a central figure in the squad following his move from Manchester City a few windows ago. His creativity, composure, and versatility have made him indispensable, and he is widely viewed as one of the club’s most successful signings in recent seasons.

Sources cited by Goal suggest that Chelsea executives believe Palmer is fully committed to the project at Stamford Bridge and sees himself as a key long-term contributor.

But Blues defender Sinclair told GOAL when asked if there are any fears that Palmer could pack his bags for Manchester as a boyhood United supporter: “I’m not too fussed about rumours, unless it comes from Cole Palmer saying that he’s homesick. Liam Rosenior seems to have a decent relationship with him and seems to be quite strong on the fact that Cole Palmer is happy at the club and he’s not seen anything of these rumours that are going about. He’s a proper man anyway.

“If you’re going to settle in a city, then I think London’s one of the best ones to settle in, without me being biased. But I don’t think that’s affecting his football.

‘I think the major issues that he’s had with his football this season is being able to keep fit or managing injuries that he’s had and he hasn’t had a run of games, which you need to have the form to play to the standard that he plays at. So it’d be interesting to see what happens.

“With football, you never know. You never know and you’re never surprised if Cole Palmer rocked up at Man United or something like that, or back at City or Liverpool, you’re never surprised with football.

‘But I would be personally surprised as a CHELSEA fan myself, if he would leave a club that I think are on the brink of getting things back to being a real force in the Premier League in the next few years.”

He added: “Yeah, you’d imagine so. You’re buying, in some sense, potential as well because I don’t think he’s the finished article, still a very young kid, not in his prime and you’re buying a player that potentially can play at the top level for the next 10 years. So, yeah, it’s going to cost a lot of money.”

ESTEVAO MAKES CLAIM

Brazilian wonderkid Estevao Willian has revealed the reasoning behind his decision to snub Premier League giants Manchester United in favour of a move to Chelsea.

The Brazilian teenager, widely regarded as one of South America’s brightest attacking prospects, confirmed that ***CHELSEA***’s long-term vision and clear development plan proved decisive in his choice. United had been strongly linked with the winger and were believed to have held exploratory talks, but Estevao ultimately opted for Stamford Bridge as the next step in his career.

Speaking about the transfer, Estevao explained that conversations with Chelsea’s recruitment staff and coaching team gave him confidence that west London was the right environment to fulfil his potential.

Estevao explained to The Sun: “My family went to other clubs, but what caught my attention was Chelsea. The project with Chelsea was different because it’s a team that, how can I say, gives you more opportunities to be in the game.

‘I thought Chelsea would be the perfect future for me because it would get me more minutes. I want to be amongst the best players in the world. I know my potential and what I can offer to Chelsea and, of course, to be amongst the best players in the world.”

Regarding the figure who inspires his style of play, he briefly asserted: “Neymar. You’ll see if I can achieve that [level].”

CHELSEA moved quickly to secure the forward’s signature amid growing European interest, underlining their continued strategy of investing in elite youth prospects from around the world.

The Blues’ recent focus on assembling one of the youngest squads in the Premier League is understood to have resonated with Estevao and his representatives.

Estevao’s arrival is seen as another statement of intent from Chelsea’s recruitment team as they look to build a squad capable of competing for major honours in the coming years.

For the player himself, moving to London was the right decision to make.
