Browns 2026 mock draft roundup: New 1st-round risers after Combine shake-p image

It’s the first set of mock drafts out since the NFL Combine, and as expected, a lot has changed. Drills and measurements have shot some prospects up the board, and others sliding down it.

The Cleveland Browns acquired right tackle Tytus Howard from the Houston Texans, as GM Andrew Berry started the drive to completely rebuild the offensive line. Did that trade effect what draft analysts think Cleveland will do? Let’s look at what this round-up of four different mocks has in store for the Browns pair of first round picks.

No. 6

Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State (6’2”, 192-lbs)

“After Tate's 4.53-second 40-yard dash at the combine, Bills GM Brandon Beane joked on the NFL Network broadcast that teams probably shouldn’t “take him early.” The Browns laugh at the thought, and they keep Tate in-state.” (Charles Davis, NFL.com)

Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia (6’7”, 315-lbs)

“Freeling's stock has skyrocketed since the end of the season. At 6-foot-7, 315 pounds, he's one of the few true left tackles of this class. He is also an excellent athlete who excels in space and on the move. His size, upside and athletic traits have prompted multiple teams to rank him as the top offensive tackle at the combine. The Browns have six offensive linemen hitting free agency and need help across the board, even after Monday's trade for Tytus Howard.” (Jordan Reid, ESPN)

Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami (6’6”, 329-lbs)

“The Browns have already begun addressing their offensive line via trade, but there's still more work to be done. Francis Mauigoa is another big step in the right direction.” (Tom Fornelli, CBS Sports)

No. 24 (via Jacksonville)

Blake Miller, OT, Clemson (6’7”, 317-lbs)

“I know the Browns are acquiring Tytus Howard from the Texans, but they still need a lot more help for the offensive line. Howard could stay at tackle or make room for Miller by sliding inside to guard, a position Howard has plenty of experience playing.” (Charles Davis, NFL.com)

Omar Cooper Jr. , WR, Indiana (6’0”, 201-lbs)

“Scouts have been enamored with Cooper since midseason, and his stock has skyrocketed as a response. He is a strong and tempoed route runner who can remain physical through route stems. The Browns have a severe shortage of proven pass catchers after veteran receiver Jerry Jeudy and tight end Harold Fannin Jr., last year's third-round revelation. Cooper would instantly play a big role in the Browns' offense with his ability to win in traffic and gain yards after the catch.” (Jordan Reid, ESPN)

Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State (6’2”, 203-lbs)

“This would be a potential home-run pairing for the Browns — Monroe Freeling in the top 10 and Tyson here at No. 24. Freeling needs some development and Tyson needs to stay healthy (he didn’t participate in athletic testing or on-field drills at the combine due to a hamstring injury), but the two could be defining players of Cleveland's offense moving forward.” (Trevor Sikkema, PFF)
