Bukayo Saka spoke about a big 1-0 win for **Arsenal**against Brighton on Wednesday evening.
The Gunners grabbed the only goal of the game through their talismanic number seven, who scored in the 9th minute from the right wing as he watched a deflected strike squirm through the legs of Bart Verbruggen.
The performance was not pretty: the Seagulls had more passes, possession, shots, and shots on target on the evening. However, by the final whistle, the league leaders had got the job done.
Meanwhile, **Man City**dropped two points in a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest, so **Arsenal**are now sitting seven points clear at the top of the table. It was the ideal way for Saka to mark his 300th appearance for his boyhood club, and he hopes that the Gunners get over the line on this occasion.
“I’m very proud, very happy. I feel very blessed. It's a beautiful day for me and my family. To top it off with a massive win and a goal, I'm so grateful. Let's just keep going like this. Let's keep enjoying this journey and continue like this.
“I had an action before where I thought I could have been a bit more direct. When I got the ball next, I said I'm going to be direct and go for it. I did that, cut in and took a shot. I didn't know how it went in initially, but a goal’s a goal, so we'll take it!
“We fought for it. In the end, we got the win, we got the result we wanted. Yeah, we just feel good about it. The games keep coming. We keep getting results and that's the way we need to keep going. We've got another one here, so we're happy. We just need to keep continuing like this.”
