Everton have a bit of a break now until the next game with Arsenal, but victory over the Gunners will see the Toffees win three Premier League games in a row for the first time this season.

On Tuesday, Everton beat Burnley at the Hill Dickinson Stadium to boost their European football hopes.

It was a good performance, but a disappointing showing from Burnley.

That result followed a brilliant 2-1 win away at Newcastle, so it’s been a great past few days for the Toffees.

So that sets up the game with Arsenal nicely, as Everton seek to achieve something they haven’t done all season.

Everton eyeing third straight Premier League win vs Arsenal

If Everton are going to get European football, then it’s paramount that the Toffees show consistency.

It is also about putting together good runs, and now there’s a chance to do that.

Up next is league leaders Arsenal though, and it will be a very difficult game.

But it’s also an opportunity. An opportunity to win three consecutive Premier League games, which hasn’t happened all season for Everton.

The Toffees’ highest winning streak in 2025/26 is just two games, which has happened on three separate occasions.

Everton also had a run of four wins in five games, with one defeat in the middle to Newcastle United at home.

The last time Everton won three games in a row in the Premier League was last season, when Moyes oversaw victories against in the final three games of the season against Fulham, Southampton and Newcastle.

Moyes knows Everton need consistency

After the win over Burnley, Moyes alluded to Everton lacking consistency this season.

The fact Everton have not yet gone on a winning streak of three games is slightly disappointing, but it’s still been a great season so far and Moyes has the team in a great position.

But now it’s time to step things up, with the business end of the season approaching.

Arsenal will obviously be a very tough game.

But it’s one that should be quite physical and Everton do have the means to beat the Gunners at their own game.
