Liverpool appears to be quietly plotting for a future beyond Andy Robertson as the Scotland captain edges towards free agency and an increasingly reduced role under Arne Slot.
With his contract up in the summer and talks yet to yield an agreement, Robertson has openly admitted his future is “unresolved”, while reports suggest Liverpool even explored a January sale to Tottenham before defensive injuries forced a rethink.
Former Reds man Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who signed for Celtic in February, has even hinted that Andy Robertson could join him soon:
“He’s told me everything. He’s a proper Glasgow boy… I just said to him, ‘it’s a shame you’re not here with me…’ he said.
“Maybe came a bit early… he might join me soon. He’s a bit younger than me, Robbo. I’d hope to see him here one day. I think he’d be amazing here.”
Into that backdrop of change comes Nathaniel Brown. According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool scouts have turned out personally to watch the German international
“Liverpool watched Nathaniel Brown live in the stadium last Sunday during Eintracht Frankfurt’s 2-0 win against SC Freiburg. At the moment, however, nothing is concrete/advanced and there is no urgency, as Liverpool trust Milos Kerkez. Brown is allowed to leave SGE in the summer.”
“Markus Krösche is demanding at least €60 million. The 22 y/o left-back is also on the shortlist of Real Madrid, while Barcelona and Manchester United are keeping an eye on the situation”
German outlet BILD has also reported that Liverpool are among several elite clubs to have made contact with Eintracht Frankfurt over the attack‑minded left‑back, who is under contract until 2030
