Everton have the chance to bolster their squad with some additions in the summer transfer window

Everton are ‘firmly’ in the race for Fulham winger Harry Wilson, according to TEAMtalk. The Toffees face competition from Aston Villa and Wrexham in pursuit of the attacker. His contract at Craven Cottage expires at the end of the season.

David Moyes’ men are sat in 8th place in the Premier League table. They won 2-0 at home against Burnley last time out. James Tarkowski and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall got their goals against the Clarets at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton wouldn’t need to pay a fee for Wilson which would be a boost. That would save cash to put towards other reinforcements. They are eyeing a place in Europe at the moment.

Wilson, 28, has been a standout player for Fulham over recent times. He joined the London outfit back in 2021 on an initial loan deal that was later made permanent. The Wrexham-born man has since scored 35 goals in 177 games under the guidance of Marco Silva, 10 of which have come this season.

The Wales international, who has 67 caps to his name, would be a solid addition for the Toffees if they managed to snap him up. He has quality on his left foot and has proved himself in the top flight. The forward rose up through Liverpool’s academy and played twice for their first-team as a youngster, as well as having loan spells away from Anfield at Crewe Alexandra, Hull City, Derby County, AFC Bournemouth and Cardiff City.

What has Marco Silva said about Harry Wilson’s future?

Ex-Everton manager Silva has said Fulham are in a ‘fight’ to keep Wilson amid links elsewhere: "We are in the fight, we are trying to keep him. If you ask me if it's going to be easy, I say it's not going to be easy. The more he scores, many more clubs are going to be around him.

“This is football business. When a player goes to the end of his contract, this kind of thing is going to happen. I know he's happy in our club and how much he's enjoying the moment. It's up to the club to do the maximum to keep him."

He added: "He's been brilliant for us. He's on a great run but it's from the first day of the season. He's been able to take the responsibility on his back, to be decisive. We had some very good spells [in the game against Brighton and Hove Albion] but it was not our best performance. He was able to take that free-kick. I'm repeating every week, it's the best moment of his career. Sometimes, everything comes together."
