Transfer chatter around Alisson Becker has taken a sharp Italian twist in recent weeks, with reports from Serie A heavily linking the Liverpool No.1 with both Juventus and Inter Milan.

Italian outlets have claimed that Juventus, unconvinced by Michele Di Gregorio after a series of errors, have identified Alisson as a potential marquee solution between the sticks, revisiting a relationship that dates back to Luciano Spalletti’s time with the Brazilian at Roma.

Inter, meanwhile, are also said to be in the market for a new first-choice goalkeeper as they prepare for life after Yann Sommer, and Alisson has reportedly emerged on their shortlist as they weigh up options for a long‑term No.1. That has sparked talk of a possible Derby d’Italia battle off the pitch, with both giants viewing a return to Serie A for the 33‑year‑old as a way to stabilise their back line

However, Fabrizio Romano, speaking on his Italian YouTube channel, has asserted Alisson wants to stay at Liverpool with another year still on his contract:

“There’s a lot of talk about both Juventus and Inter, so in recent hours the name [Alisson] has been circulating with both clubs, who are evidently looking for a goalkeeper for next summer,” the transfer guru said.

“So, I can tell you that at the moment, what we know about Alisson is that he intends to stay at Liverpool for another year. He still has one year left on his contract and Alisson would like to complete it there, so Alisson doesn’t want to leave at the moment.

“Should Liverpool decide to put him on the market, well we’ll see about that.”
