A new trade prediction has Zion Williamson going to the Chicago Bulls ahead of the NBA trade deadline.
AThursday night battle between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Sacramento Kings could miss the presence of the star forward, Zion Williamson.
According to the Pelicans’ injury report, Williamson is listed as questionable for the matchup. The star is dealing with an ankle sprain.
Injuries have affected Williamson many times throughout his career. However, this season has been different. Outside of an early November and early December stretch of absences, Williamson is having one of the healthiest seasons of his career.
He hasn’t missed two games in a row since December 8 and 11. After a 35-game stretch, Williamson finally got a night off when the Pelicans faced the Los Angeles Clippers on March 1.
Without Williamson on the court, the Pelicans came up short with a 117-137 loss. The Pelicans left the door open for Williamson to return in the following game. On March 3, the Pelicans paid a visit to the Los Angeles Lakers. Williamson was cleared to play.
In 33 minutes of action, the star forward shot 10-18 from the field. He scored 24 points. Along with his scoring, Williamson came down with four rebounds and came up with one steal.
The Pelicans came up short, losing 110-101 to the Lakers. After having a four-game winning streak going, the Pelicans dropped two in a row. They will look to avoid a third-straight loss on Thursday night.

Both teams involved in Thursday’s game are in a rebuilding phase.
The Kings enter the matchup holding a 14-49 record. They are last in the Western Conference, winning just two of their last 10 games.
As for the Pelicans, they are 19-44 on the year. Only the Kings and the Utah Jazz have been worse. The Jazz are half a game behind the Pelicans at this stage of the season.
Unfortunately for the Pelicans, they won’t be able to take advantage of their struggles this season. Where they currently stand, the Pelicans are projected to land a top six pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. The pick will soon belong to the Atlanta Hawks.
Although the public pushed back on the Pelicans’ plans, suggesting they should hit a hard reset on the team, New Orleans’ front office continued to express confidence in the current roster. Williamson remains a major part of what the Pelicans are doing.
Without health being a major concern, the Pelicans are getting a solid look at their star again this year.
Williamson has 46 games under his belt, as he averaged roughly 30 minutes of playing time. The veteran star has produced 21.5 points per game, while shooting 58% from the field. He is also dishing out 3.4 assists per game and coming down with 5.8 rebounds per game.
The Pelicans and the Kings are slated for a 10 PM ET tip on Thursday night.
