The Charlotte Hornets entered Thursday night's game looking for their sixth straight victory, coming off of a win against the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday.
With a win, the Hornets had the chance to improve to 32-31 which would mark their first time above .500 in 60 games since they began the season 2-1.
Charlotte did just that, dominating the Celtics from start to finish inside the TD Garden.
The Hornets led by 12 points after the first quarter and continued to improve on their advantage in every frame, ultimately tallying a 29-point victory.
Kon Knueppel continued to lead the way for Charlotte, as he knocked down four three-pointers and finished with a team-high 20 points.
Knueppel also led the team with a plus/minus of +22, just higher than his teammate Miles Bridges who finished +21.
As a matter of fact, Knueppel has led the entire NBA in plus/minus since the All-Star break, now sitting at +157 in eight games.
Derrick White came into Thursday's game in third, 20 points behind Knueppel, but finished with a -18 performance despite scoring a game-high 29 points.
Now over .500 for the first time since October, the Hornets can set their sights on a playoff appearance.
But, given their recent form, Charlotte could aim even higher. The Hornets trail the 76ers by only two and a half games for the sixth seed, a position that would see them avoid the Play-In Tournament entirely.
The Hornets will continue their push for a playoff berth Friday, facing the Miami Heat at home.
