Seahawks predicted to draft 11-TD RB in Round 1 to replace Kenneth Walker

The Seattle Seahawks are in their Super Bowl window, but due to major cap constraints with big deals for Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Devon Witherspoon on the horizon, they are going to lose some key players.

One of those expected departures is running back Kenneth Walker III. He's going to land a massive deal in free agency, and the Seahawks likely cannot afford to bring him back.

To make up for the hole he's leaving behind, Charles Davis of NFL.com predicts in his latest mock draft that the Seahawks will select a Notre Dame running back at 32nd overall. But with Jeremiyah Love going early, their only option is the Notre Dame backup.

Seahawks predicted to take backup Notre Dame RB 32nd overall

Davis predicts that at the 32nd pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Seahawks would take Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price. The Redshirt Junior might be Love's backup, but he's a very good running back as well.

"With Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III ticketed for free agency and Zach Charbonnet returning from a postseason knee injury," Davis writes, "The Golden Domer could shine for the reigning Super Bowl champions."

The 5-foot-11, 203-pound running back ran a 4.49 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, which, while not as good as some other backs, is more than good enough to be a starter in the NFL.

Last year for the Fighting Irish, Price ran the ball 113 times for 674 yards and 11 touchdowns. He averaged 6.0 yards per carry and was a quality backup to Love all year.

Price also caught six passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns, contributing solid production out of the backfield despite being in a limited role.

Compared to Love, who ran the ball 199 times and caught 27 passes, Price was not as productive, but he was still a good runner and receiver when he got work.

While the Seahawks taking a running back, with Love off the board, might be a surprise, it does make some sense if there's concern that none of the quality running backs will be available when they select in the second round.

This is a bit rich for Price, but considering the Seahawks' need at the position, and the vacuum that Walker is set to leave behind, it wouldn't be too shocking if the Seahawks pounced for a running back early.
