Dallas Mavericks Announce Klay Thompson Update Before Magic Game

On Thursday night, the Dallas Mavericks will be in Florida to take on the Orlando Magic.

The Mavs are coming off a 117-90 loss to the Charlotte Hornets (at home).

Klay Thompson did not play in the game.

For Thursday’s game, the Mavs got a positive update on Thompson.

He will be listed as probable, which means he should be back in action.

Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News wrote (on Wednesday): “#Mavs rookie Cooper Flagg (left midfoot sprain) has been upgraded to questionable for tomorrow’s game against the#Magic.

Naji Marshall (right finger contusion) and Klay Thompson (right adductor contusion) have also been upgraded to probable.

Brandon Williams is probable due to a left quad contusion.

Marvin Bagley III (neck sprain) remains out.”

Klay Thompson And The Mavs This Season

Thompson is in his second season playing for the franchise after a 13-year run with the Golden State Warriors.

The future Hall of Famer is currently averaging 11.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 38.7% from the field and 37.8% from three-point range in 54 games.

The Mavs have had a down year, as they are the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 21-40 record in 61 games.

They are in the middle of a four-game losing streak (and have won just two out of their last ten).

After Orlando, the Mavs will play their next game on Friday night when they visit the Boston Celtics.

On the road, they have gone just 7-20.

On the other side, the Magic are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-28 record in 60 games.

They have won six out of their last ten games (and are 18-11 at home).

Following the Mavs, the Magic will visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
