Can the Tennessee Titans surround Cam Ward with more talent in 2026?
After making Miami quarterback, Cam Ward the first-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Titans struggled to find quality weapons for their new franchise signal caller – proof being veteran tight end, Chigoziem Okonkwo led the team with just 560 receiving yards, this past season.
While the rookie trio of Elic Ayomanor, Chimere Dike, and Gunnar Helm all proving to be quality starting-level players, the Titans’ offense still needs explosive playmakers to lead the way for Ward – something ESPN projects the club to make happen this off-season, in the form of familiar face and star wideout from AFC South rivals, the Indianapolis Colts, Alec Pierce.
In 2025, Pierce emerged as one of the best deep threats in the NFL, leading the league with 21.3 yards per reception. While securing just 47 receptions, Pierce managed to exceed 1,000 yards receiving while catching six touchdowns passes despite up-and-down play from quarterback Daniel Jones as well as backups in rookie, Riley Leonard, and 44-year-old veteran signal caller, Phillip Rivers.
Pierce is projected to land a deal nearing $25 million per year in free agency. this off-season.
