Bears, Bills Finalizing D.J. Moore Trade On Thursday

The Chicago Bears are reportedly finalizing a trade involving wide receiver D.J. Moore on Thursday morning.

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Bears and the Bills are finalizing a trade that would give Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen a significant weapon to work with on the outside.

The trade is not yet finalized, though the AFC and NFC contenders are working out the details on Thursday morning. However, both sides are "pushing" for it to happen.

"ESPN sources: the Chicago Bears are working to finalize a trade that would send WR D.J. Moore to the Buffalo Bills. Compensation still is being discussed, and the trade cannot be processed until the new league year begins, but both sides are pushing to make it happen," he reported.

Moore, 28, caught 50 passes for 682 yards and six touchdowns last season, playing with second-year quarterback Caleb Williams.

The Bills, who lost early in the AFC Playoffs yet again, have been searching for some weapons to give Josh Allen.

Buffalo appears to have found one in Moore, though the official trade is still being finalized on Thursday morning. Stay tuned for the latest details on Buffalo's trade for DJ Moore.

What the Bears are getting back for Moore

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Bears are getting a mid-round draft pick back in exchange for Moore.

"It's a mid-round pick compensation going back," he reported.

The Bears, led by head coach Ben Johnson, appear to be comfortable with their current wide receivers group.

"Chicago has a former first-round WR in Rome Odunze and drafted Luther Burden in Round 2 last year in Ben Johnson's first draft, to go along with TE Colston Loveland, who was drafted in Round 1. That made moving DJ Moore possible, and he's now headed to Buffalo," Schefter added.

The Bills, meanwhile, are finally getting Josh Allen some help.
