Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro tackle Lane Johnson wants Las Vegas Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby on his team, and that could become a reality.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz added on Thursday that “teams in the trade market have gotten the sense that the Raiders are open to the idea of trading Maxx Crosby, and it’s a situation that is only going to intensify.”

Johnson tweeted an eyes emoji while tagging Crosby on X, which could only mean one thing: he wants him on the Eagles.

Lane Johnson Adds Fuel to Raiders’ Maxx Crosby Trade Rumors

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is known around the league for always being open to making a trade, and according to NFL insider Albert Breer, the Eagles are one of seven teams monitoring Crosby’s situation.

“We should know enough which path the Raiders are taking, with teams like Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, Buffalo, New England, Philadelphia, and the Rams keeping tabs on his availability.”

The Bills likely aren’t able to make a trade for Crosby anymore after they traded a second-round pick for Bears wide receiver DJ Moore, but the Eagles are a serious contender.

CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullivan proposed the Eagles trade a 2026 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick for Crosby, although The Athletic’sDianna Russini reported on Wednesday that the Raiders’ asking price is still two first-round picks and a player.

The Eagles will need to pay a higher price than what Sullivan proposed, but here’s what he had to say on a potential deal between the Eagles and Raiders:

“The Eagles possess the No. 23 overall pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, and Howie Roseman should be willing to part with it (along with a second-rounder next year) if it can land him Crosby. We saw last season how impactful a legit edge rusher can be with Philadelphia after they were the No. 1 scoring defense in the league after acquiring Jaelan Phillips at the deadline in a deal with Miami. With Phillips set to be a free agent, this is an opportunity for Roseman and the Eagles to not only replace him but improve off the edge with a game-wrecker like Crosby.”

Eagles Advised Not to Trade for Crosby

No one can ever truly count the Eagles out from making a trade, but Zach Berman of The Athletic is advising the team not to make a trade for Crosby.

“Roseman is always star-hunting, and in this column last year, I advocated making an aggressive push for Myles Garrett. Roseman should resist the urge to go after Crosby. It would cost premium picks, and the Eagles badly need to allocate draft resources to offensive players for the coming seasons. They had only two offensive starters last year on rookie deals. If the Eagles send valuable picks for Crosby, it’s going to hinder the ability to add young, cost-controlled offensive players.”

The Raiders know their worth with Crosby, and Berman is right, it would take premium picks from the Eagles to acquire Crosby, and potentially even a player like Jordan Davis.

So if Lane Johnson wants Crosby on his team, the Eagles will have to pay up.
