The NFL rumor mill has already been working overtime in recent days with NFL free agency approaching. Plenty of trade rumors have been swirling as well and the Baltimore Ravens have been right in the middle of them.

So far this offseason, the Ravens have already been connected to two potential blockbuster trades.

Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown has been one name connected to Baltimore, while Las Vegas Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby has also been mentioned as a potential target.

At the end of the day, the Ravens know that they need to get aggressive this offseason. After another disappointing finish last year that saw the team miss the playoffs, Baltimore hit the reset button. John Harbaugh was ousted as head coach and replaced by Jesse Minter.

Keeping that in mind, the Ravens are expected to swing big. A new update has been provided about the team’s chances of acquiring Brown from the Eagles.

Baltimore Ravens Receive Major News About Potential A.J. Brown Trade

According to a report from Philadelphia insider Jeff McLane, the Eagles have been interested in trading Brown, but only to an AFC team. That bodes well for Baltimore’s chances.

McLane also went as far as to say that the Ravens were one of the most likely trade destinations for Brown this offseason, but also name-dropped the New England Patriots.

“Patriots and Ravens are the most likely potential partners, especially as I understand it, the Eagles inclined to only deal with AFC teams,” McLane reported on X.

One big wide receiver domino has already fallen this offseason. The Chicago Bears traded veteran wideout D.J. Moore to the Buffalo Bills to be Josh Allen’s new No. 1 target. That should take the Bills out of the running for Brown.

With that being said, all eyes will turn to Brown at this point in time.

What Would A.J. Brown Bring to the Ravens?

There are few wide receivers in the NFL capable of making a bigger impact than Brown. However, he does come with a big personality.

At 28 years old, Brown is coming off of four straight seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards. In 2025, he caught 78 passes for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games.

Throughout his entire seven-year NFL career, he has played in 105 games and has caught 524 passes for 8,029 yards and 56 touchdowns.

Brown would be the most talented wide receiver that Lamar Jackson has ever played with in the NFL. He would be a franchise-changing kind of addition. That being said, his attitude was on display at times in Philadelphia, with one occasion seeing him reading a book on the sideline.

Only time will tell whether or not the Ravens will actually pursue Brown via a trade. They seem to have a decent shot at doing so if they choose to go that route.
