“Shift Their Focus”: Dallas Cowboys Reportedly Out On Maxx Crosby Sweepstakes

The Dallas Cowboys defense is in dire need of personnel change this offseason. Dallas had one of the worst defensive units in the NFL during the 2025 NFL season. With the Cowboys looking for more personnel changes, one name that they are potentially interested in is Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby.

He is 28 years old. Crosby recorded 73 tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception, and six pass deflections. Is there a chance that he can be traded to Dallas or no?

NFL insider Trey Wingo gave the latest update on the Crosby trade sweepstakes. He said on his Twitter page, “Things are moving fast re Maxx Crosby. Last night Dallas thought they were close to a deal but since then other teams have raised the ante and potentially are offering the Raiders 2 1st round picks Expected Dallas to now shift their focus to Trey Hendrickson.” It is interesting that Dallas was interested. It is smart for Dallas to keep its draft picks. The Cowboys trading away Micah Parsons last year and then trading away its draft picks now for Crosby would have been silly.

The Cowboys signing Trey Hendrickson in free agency would be a smarter move for this football team. Hendrickson would be a much cheaper option at 31 years old, and he is also a very good pass rusher. With Dallas moving on from Crosby, it is quite possible that he will be traded to the Chicago Bears at some point this NFL offseason also.
