Patriots Rumors: Eagles Causing 'Frustration' With This A.J. Brown Trade Price

The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly have set their A.J. Brown trade price -- and teams don't like it.

Brown, one of the NFL's best receivers, reportedly is on the trade block. And though he remains an impact player, his age (29 in June) and injury history seemingly make him a diminishing asset.

However, as revealed by Greg Bedard in the latest episode of his podcast, the Eagles are turning teams off with an unrealistic asking price.

"I spoke to someone last night," Bedard said. "Let's call it a high-ranking member of a team that I think would be interested. He expressed frustration, exasperation, or whatever you wanna call it with what the Eagles were asking for, which again I believe to be like a (No. 1) and a (No. 2)."

#Patriots fans what would you give up for AJ Brown?🤔

It's difficult to imagine Brown fetching a first- and second-round pick, although stranger things have happened. The Eagles simply could be doing what any team should: Set a high bar before negotiating down to a fair return.

Nevertheless, Brown will be one of the more fascinating names to monitor this offseason, as he remains a true No. 1 receiver who would dramatically improve any offense.
