Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson has been seen working out with upcoming free agent Tutu Atwell.
Tutu Atwell last played for the Los Angeles Rams in 2025. In an important offseason for the Ravens, bringing in Atwell would be a good addition.
Furthermore, Baltimore Ravens Wide Receiver Zay Flowers was also seen on video working alongside his current quarterback and Tutu Atwell. The video came from an Instagram story on March 2nd.
While the Los Angeles Rams wrestle with bringing back Atwell, they could be opening the door for Baltimore to sign him. Free agency will begin on March 11 at 4 p.m.
Tutu Atwell Underperformed in 2025
Tutu Atwell only appeared in 10 games during the 2025 NFL season. As a result, his statistics were not great.
“Atwell was set to hit free agency in 2024 for the first time, but the Rams gave him a one-year, $10 million extension for the 2025 season. Aside from his rookie season, this was Atwell’s least impactful year on the field, as he appeared in 10 games and caught just six passes for 192 yards and a touchdown.” Mike Masala wrote in a Rams Wire article.
Due to the lackluster 2025 season, Atwell’s value will likely plummet. Spotrac currently has him projected to receive a one-year, $2.6 million deal this offseason.
Despite these facts, Tutu Atwell remains a downfield threat on any field he plays on. The speedster clocked a 4.39 40-yard-dash at the NFL Combine. Atwell attended the University of Louisville where he recorded 2,307 yards and 21 touchdowns. His best season at Louisville came in 2019. He recorded 1,276 yards hauling in 70 catches during the 2019 season.
The Baltimore Ravens Need WR Help
The Baltimore Ravens are facing some questions at the Wide Receiver position currently. They’re best wideout has been Zay Flowers who has been Baltimore’s WR1 for the past three years. The former first round pick caught 86 passes in the 2025 season. Flowers ranked 7th in total receiving yards with 1,211.
Though Zay Flowers has had success with Baltimore, other wideouts failed to step up during the season. DeAndre Hopkins caught 22 passes for 330 yards and two touchdowns in the 2025 season. Hopkins is set to be a free agent in 2026 and will likely not be back with the Ravens.
“Hopkins most likely won’t be back for the Ravens, as Rashod Bateman will remain the WR2 or WR3. That leaves Baltimore open to finding another top receiver to join the team. If Derrick Henry had his way, he would tell the Ravens to call the Philadelphia Eagles for wide receiver A.J. Brown.” Anthony Miller wrote in a Sports Illustrated article.
Many thought Rashod Bateman was going to take a step forward in 2025 and the wideout underperformed instead. Baltimore signed the former first round pick to a three-year $36.75 million contract extension in June 2025. Bateman only had 19 receptions for 224 yards in the 2025 season. While injuries played a role, he played in 13 of the Ravens’ 17 games in 2025.
Signing Tutu Atwell would add significant speed to the Baltimore Ravens’ pass game. Though Atwell does not have much size to him, he could still be a big play target with his blazing speed and agility.
