According to PEOPLE, Bo and Izzy Nix met at Auburn University. Bo played quarterback for the Tigers, and Izzy was a cheerleader. Bo proposed to Izzy at Jordan-Hare Stadium, and the couple married in July 2022, two months after Izzy graduated. Bo Nix then joined the Oregon Ducks for two years before the Broncos selected him in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Unfortunately, Nix suffered a fractured right ankle on the next-to-last play of the game, ruling him out for the AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots.

With Nix on the sideline, Denver’s backup quarterback, Jarrett Stidham, struggled in the snow of Empower Field at Mile High. The Patriots escaped with a 10-7 victory and a berth in Super Bowl LX. The Seattle Seahawks easily dispatched the Patriots two weeks later to claim their second Super Bowl title.

Nix is rehabbing his injury but is expected back for training camp.
