NBA Fans React To Washington Wizards Anthony Davis Announcement Before Jazz Game

Anthony Davis began his 2025-26 season with the Dallas Mavericks.

While dealing with injuries, Davis had averages of 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.6 blocks per contest while shooting 50.6% from the field and 27.0% from three-point range in 20 games.

Davis was traded to the Washington Wizards last month.

However, he has yet to debut for his new franchise.

On Thursday, the Wizards will host the Utah Jazz in Washington, D.C.

Before the game, the team announced an update on Davis.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype wrote: “Washington Wizards star Anthony Davis will be re-evaluated in two weeks. Davis, who is out with ligament damage in his left hand, continues to progress as expected and has been cleared to begin limited individual on-court basketball activities.”

The Wizards have been in rebuilding mode for a long time, but the additions of Davis (and Trae Young) have them as a likely playoff team in 2027.

Young will make his debut for Washington on Thursday.
