Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is coming into this season with a dare-devil mindset and is ready to dominate the league. While his terrific off-season practice sessions have got may fans talking ahead of the new season, the latest update from his off-season events show a rather bold side of Dell.
Dell might be recovering from a terrifying knee injury. But he won’t let his recovery phase keep him from getting one of the most intensive tattooing process by an NFL player in recent times. Here’s more about Dell’s latest tattoo.

While Houston Texans receiver Tank Dell recovered from a terrifying knee injury, he underwent a 6-hour anesthesia session to get the most ambitious tattoo in the NFL. During a December 2024 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Dell caught a wild touchdown pass from quarterback C.J Stroud but was undercut by his own teammate in a freak accident that disclosed his left kneecap.
The mishap saw him lose his ACL, MCL, and LCL, while securing other damage to the meniscus in one of last season’s wildest on-field injuries. His teammates and opposing team members reacted in shock at the sight of impact as the medics quickly moved into action.
Dell’s knees improved after two new surgeries, but he had to miss the entire 2025 season for the Texans. Now in high spirits ahead of the 2026 season, the former Houston Cougars star has taken some time to get a full-back faith-and-football tattoo that includes multiple monkeys, a lion, the NFL logo, and a representation of Jesus.

Disclosing Dell’s latest off-field heroics, a social media account shared a video of his tattooed back with the caption:
“𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: Texans WR Tank Dell went under anesthesia for a full back tattoo that is faith and football themed. It includes multiple monkeys, Jesus Christ, a lion, and the NFL logo. He was put to sleep for six hours with four tattoo artists working on him simultaneously.”
Earlier, Dell had a full-leg tattoo on his uninjured right leg that triggered wild reactions across social media. Given his choice to endure a second tattoo session, this time on his back, there’s a good chance the athlete finds some form of satisfaction and fulfilment in the practice. Hopefully, his passion for faith and football can translate into notable performances for the Chiefs when the season begins.
