“What Are You Waiting For?”: Giants Fans Launch Petition to Bring Former Star Back Home

The New York Giants closed out the 2025 season at 4–13, their second consecutive season with double-digit losses. Ownership fired head coach Brian Daboll mid-season on November 10, 2025, following a 2–8 start.

After continuous flop years, on Jan. 20, they signed Super Bowl-winning coach John Harbaugh to a five-year deal, making him the 21st full-time head coach in franchise history.

At his introductory press conference, Harbaugh said the goal is simple: bring a championship back to New York. With quarterback Jaxson Dart already on the roster, the early pieces of a rebuild are in place. Now the fan base wants one special piece who is a very familiar one.

Itread, “As a die-hard New York Giants fan, Odell Beckham Jr. is more than just a name on a roster. He is the essence of what it means to be a Giant. His time with the team was marked by unforgettable moments and highlight-reel catches that not only changed the culture of the Giants but also left an indelible mark on the entire NFL.”

The push wasn’t entirely fan-driven because Beckham himself even encouraged it,posting, “Y’all put the petition up to get me back to the Giants.”

This is awesome: Giants fans have started a petition to bring Odell Beckham Jr back to the Giants for next season.

The nostalgia is real. In 59 games with the Giants, Beckham recorded 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns. He earned two All-Pro selections, three Pro Bowl appearances, and won NFL Rookie of the Year in 2014. At his peak, he was one of the league’s most explosive receivers. Injuries and a 2019 trade to the Cleveland Browns slowed that run.

But the reunion chatter got louder this week. Dart posted a rookie season highlights carousel on Instagram, and OBJ dropped three fire emojis in the comments.Dart answered back, tagging him: “Whatcha say, bruh?” Beckham responded: “You knoooo it!!!”

There’s another layer to the conversation. Harbaugh was known to admire Beckham during his peak years, and he now leads the New York Giants.

The Giants are expected to build their receiver group around Dart, Malik Nabers, and possibly a high draft pick such as Cardale Tate at No. 5 overall. In that setup, Beckham would likely be a low-cost veteran addition rather than a central piece.

However, whether Harbaugh pursues the move is still unclear. Fans, however, have made their interest clear.
