At Best Elementary School, Houston Texans Legend Wade Smith, TORO, and members of the Houston Texans Cheerleaders joined the celebration by reading with students and encouraging them to keep learning, exploring, and growing through books.
Students gathered in classrooms to hear stories, ask questions, and interact with the Texans representatives, creating memorable moments that reinforced the importance of reading and education.
Houston Reads Day also focuses on long-term impact. Through Literacy Now's intervention programs, the initiative works to help 4th grade students reach grade-level reading proficiency, a key milestone that significantly improves future academic success.
By supporting Houston Reads Day, the Texans continue their commitment to strengthening the community and investing in the next generation of leaders.
