Steve Kerr Made Bold Draymond Green Statement After Warriors-Rockets Game

On Thursday evening, the Golden State Warriors played the Houston Rockets in Texas.

The Warriors won by a score of 115-113.

Draymond Green finished the victory with ten points, five rebounds, eight assists and one steal while shooting 4/6 from the field and 1/3 from three-point range in 35 minutes of playing time.

After the game, head coach Steve Kerr spoke about Green (via ESPN’s Anthony Slater).

Kerr: “I thought that was vintage Draymond. The defense, the leadership, a force, passing… If we play well like we did tonight, we got a shot against anybody.”

Green is in the middle of his 14th NBA season (all with Golden State).

He is averaging 8.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per contest while shooting 40.6% from the field and 31.5% from three-point range in 51 games.

Slater also added: “Warriors celebrate maybe their most impressive win this season. They beat the Rockets in Houston despite missing Butler, Curry, Porzingis. Three two-way guys in the rotation. Podziemski 26 points. Draymond/Horford great defensively vs Durant/Sengun.”

Warriors And Rockets This Season

With their victory over the Rockets, the Warriors improved to 32-30 in 62 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

They have won four out of their last ten games (and are 13-17 in 30 games on the road).

Following the Rockets, the Warriors will play their next game on Saturday when they visit Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
