The Miami Heat have had a rocky season, which includes Kel'el Ware's weird sophomore campaign. He was impressive during his rookie year, as he stood out with his athleticism and three-point shooting.
That made him the most promising young player in South Beach, but he has not received the same opportunities. Head coach Erik Spoelstra has held out on his minutes, which has led to a bizarre dynamic between the player and coach.
Herro loved what he saw from Ware's standout night
During Thursday's game against the Brooklyn Nets, Ware played 32 minutes. He was superb during all of those minutes, as he got 16 points, 11 rebounds, five steals, and seven blocks. It was almost a 5x5, but he only had a single assist.
This was a standout Ware performance because Bam Adebayo was dealing with foul trouble all game. It was the kind of performance that should be impactful for his future on the Heat roster.

Coach Spoelstra must make adjustments to the lineup as he continues to be one of the best prospects on the roster. Herro, Adebayo, and the other Heat players want what's best for the roster, and Ware has continued to impress.
"People forget Kel’el is only 21 years old, second year in the league. There’s going to be ups and downs. He’s still learning. The best thing about Kel’el is that he wants to learn, he wants to be great," Herro said after the game against Brooklyn.
"You see the potential he can tap into. Seven blocks, should’ve been eight, and he’s continuing to get better."
As long as Ware can continue to play like this, the Heat will have some of the most promising rosters in the Eastern Conference. Spoelstra must figure out how to play him for the most minutes he can play.
