A look at the injury news surrounding Arsenal and FA Cup rivals Mansfield Town.

Arsenal now turn their attention to the FA Cup after picking up a big win over Brighton during the week. The Gunners produced an ugly performance, but they still came out on top, and Manchester City’s draw elsewhere meant they gained two points on their title rivals.

This weekend, they travel to the East Midlands to take on a Mansfield side that is currently 16th in League One and not totally out of danger as far as relegation is concerned. Here we take a look at the early injury news surrounding both sides ahead of this one.

Liam Roberts - Out

Roberts has a muscular injury that could keep him out until the end of the season ,or at least close to it.

Mikel Merino - Out

Merino is likely going to miss the rest of the season after a foot fracture. Arteta said after the Spaniard’s surgery: “Well, I think the doctors were really happy the way it went. Yeah, now it starts. Obviously, it's a long process. You're talking about bone healing, so you need to be patient. You respect the timings, and I'm sure Mikel is going to do everything that he possibly can to speed up the process. We're talking about months, whether it's three, four or five, we don't know.”

Martin Odegaard - Doubt

Odegaard missed the Brighton game and will remain a doubt. Arteta said in his last update: “Martin is the other one. Maybe, we will see how comfortable he is in certain actions.”

Ben White - Out

White has missed the last couple of games and is expected to stay out for at least another week.

William Saliba - Doubt

Saliba will be a doubt after missing the Brighton game. Arteta explained: “He turned his ankle against Chelsea. He managed to finish the game somehow, but he was too sore to play today.”
