A look at the injury news surrounding Chelsea and Wrexham ahead of their FA Cup clash.
Chelsea are back in action on Saturday when they take on Championship side Wrexham in the FA Cup. The Blues picked up a big win during the week, thrashing Aston Villa to get back into the thick of the top four race.
They now turn their attention to the FA Cup, facing a Wrexham side that is currently occupying a playoff spot in the Championship after beating Charlton Athletic last weekend. Here we round up the latest injury news surrounding both teams.
Ben Sheaf - Out
Sheaf is not expected to return from a muscular injury for at least another week. Parkinson has said; "We know Sheafy is going to be out, he's no different, but obviously we need those two players back."
Matty James - Out
Phil Parkinson has said: "Matty had a bit of a setback with his toe so he's still got a boot on for another week, maybe 10 days. The fracture hadn't healed as quickly as we'd hoped.”
Liberato Cacace - Out
Parkinson has said: "Libby's still making progress.” He will not return here.=
Jamie Bynoe-Gittens - Out
Rosenior has said: “Levi is doing really well with his long-term rehab...” The winger will be at least a couple of weeks more.
Estevao Willian - Out
Rosenior has said: “Estevao is back on the pitch running, which is great, and he’s doing really well.” Estevao will likely return next weekend.
Dario Essugo - Out
Rosenior has said: “Dario is back on the training pitch as well. Hopefully, we can get all these players fit and on the pitch before the end of the season.”
Levi Colwill - Out
In his latest update, Rosenior has said: “Levi is doing really well with his long-term rehab...” There is hope Colwill can return before the end of the season.
Mykhailo Mudryk - Out (Suspended)
Mudryk is suspended. A club statement in the summer read: “We can confirm that Mykhailo Mudryk has been charged with Anti-Doping Rule Violations alleging the presence and/or use of a prohibited substance, in terms of Regulations 3 and 4 of The FA's Anti-Doping Regulations. As this is an ongoing case, we are not in a position to comment further at this time.” Mudryk is not included in the final count due to the nature of his absence.
