The upcoming presidential election at Barcelona continues to influence several important topics around the club, including the future of manager Hansi Flick.
With the vote scheduled for March 15, questions have emerged about what could happen to the German coach depending on the outcome.
Flick has been closely associated with the current sporting structure at the club, which has placed his long-term future under discussion during the campaign.
Recent reports have suggested that the Barcelona manager is open to extending his stay at the club.
Flick has adapted well to life in the city and feels comfortable working within the current project built around the club’s leadership.
However, the coach’s future appears to be strongly connected to the result of the presidential election.
The manager is believed to value the working relationship he has developed with the current leadership and wants to continue building the team under the same structure.
If the election were to produce a different leadership, Flick’s situation could become uncertain.

Some reports have suggested that a change in the presidency could potentially lead to his departure either during the summer or when his current contract ends in 2027.
During a recent appearance, presidential candidate Joan Laporta was directly asked about the possibility of Flick leaving the club if he were not re-elected.
The Barcelona leader responded by highlighting the strong connection between the German coach and the current sporting project, particularly the working relationship Flick has developed with sporting director Deco.
“Flick has expressed his position, and that he feels comfortable with our project and our work team, and he is also highly aligned with Deco.
“And it seems that the other candidate wants to replace Deco with three people who do his job, and Flick has made it clear that he doesn’t like this.”
As such, the partnership between Flick and Deco has been an important part of the club’s planning in recent months.
As a result, the presidential election could have serious consequences than simply deciding the club’s leadership.
Simply put, the outcome may influence the continuity of Barcelona’s current football project and Flick’s future on the bench.
