Tottenham to turn to Bundesliga to resolve goal scoring problem; Chelsea & Barcelona can…

Tottenham are after a 23-year-old from Bundesliga.

Tottenham have been looking to bring in reinforcements in the attacking unit in the summer window as the chiefs at Hotspur Way look to resolve the goalscoring problems that this roster has been enduring along the ongoing 2025/26 campaign.

And that problem could be pointed down to not having a reliable centre-forward who has the capacity to not only score goals but also create chances.

Barcelona and Chelsea can ruin Fisnik Asllani party at Hotspur Way

According to reports from FussballDaten, the Premier League heavyweights are reportedly targeting 23-year-old TSG Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani as the forward emerges as one of the top priorities at Hotspur Way for when summer comes around.

Asllani is surely an attractive option for the Lilywhites given that he has 15 goal contributions in the ongoing season, and that is what has caught the attention of multiple clubs across Europe, including Barcelona and Chelsea, who are also said to be tracking the Spurs target.

The striker has been described as a “modern target man” (in the report by FussballDaten) given that he is someone who has that capacity to hold up play while linking with players around him. But beyond that, he can directly contribute when in front of goal. And this makes him an attractive prospect to come into the physical demands of English football.

And given his age and potential, he does fit in the transfer strategy that Tottenham have adapted of late of bringing in high-potential young players and developing them into their potential within the corridors of Hotspur Way.

The aforementioned report goes on to suggest that the North Londoners will have to fork around €30 million (£26 million) to sign Asllani in the upcoming summer window. Ideally given his potential, that price does seem reasonable and well within the Lilywhites’ financial flex. But it is the presence of competition for his signatures that can end up complicating matters for Spurs. He is believed to dream of a move to Barcelona. And that leaning towards Spanish giants can end up putting Tottenham on the second fiddle for his signatures.

We will see where this goes. Right now Tottenham are fighting to keep that Premier League status, and the place where Spurs finish at the end of the season could end up playing a major role in the type of players that Tottenham can attract in the summer window.
