Liam Rosenior has praised the professionalism of Robert Sanchez after the goalkeeper was dropped for Filip Jorgensen for Chelsea’s 4-1 victory over Aston Villa.
Goalkeeper competition is always healthy at any club, but Robert Sanchez‘s move out of the side stemmed from a mistake that he made against Arsenal.
Gary Neville has seen enough of Robert Sanchez, and he’s not the only pundit.
The most frustrating thing about him is that he can be so good in some games, making match-winning saves. And then in another match, he’ll give the ball away or make a stupid mistake.
It’s this lack of consistency that has brought about the change from Liam Rosenior, which has gifted an opportunity to Filip Jorgensen in between the sticks.

Robert Sanchez shows his true professionalism at Chelsea
Many might have thought that Robert Sanchez would be annoyed after being dropped for Chelsea, but that isn’t the case, according to Liam Rosenior.
His comments were shared by Football.London, when asked about whether he had spoken to Sanchez.
“I already have done. I’ve been really honest with Rob, he was disappointed not to play the game but the way he responded was magnificent. There was no difference in him.
“If we’re going to be successful in the short and long term, you need a group with a strong mentality and Rob has that.”
Robert Sanchez definitely has a part to play in this Chelsea side, it’s now up to him to keep improving.
Enzo Maresca hang your head in shame 😬

Liam Rosenior makes his feelings clear on the goalkeeper situation
That isn’t the only comment Rosenior made about Sanchez, as he also spoke on the current situation of his two goalkeepers and how he’ll come to a decision on who starts moving forward.
“For me, genuinely, I look at the goalkeeper position maybe differently. Traditionally, if there’s a change of goalkeeper, people think he’s now No.1 but that’s not the case.”
It does make sense for Jorgensen to start against Wrexham after his impressive performance against Aston Villa, rewarding him for his efforts.
However, this just feels like Rosenior coming up with an excuse for his decision to drop Sanchez, as it just happened to come after a mistake.
