Gary Lineker has claimed about how Chelsea have actually changed the plan of Joao Pedro. Joao Pedro has been performing really very well at the moment. The player is very dynamic and versatile right now.
A lot of goals:
The Blues are looking forward to making sure that they score a lot of goals at the moment too. The team have already begun to make sure that they are very great in the Premier League. Their main target at the moment is actually to be in top four right now of course. This is the reason why they have actually begun to play well too. On top of that the squad is actually pretty great too. There is also no doubt about it either that actually every player except Garnacho is playing great. Recently Joao Pedro scored a hat trick against Aston Villa too. He is a real proper striker to be honest.
Chelsea have not seen this in a while now too. Joao Pedro is going to be one of the best players of Chelsea to be honest. The Blues have begun to make sure that they at least sign some better defenders and some better wingers too. At the same time, Chelsea have also lowered their discipline too. Rosenior also said that actually they need to make policies as well and there is no doubt about it either.
A few policies are required right now which are actually going to discipline the players too of course. Several players have been getting red cards and also going out. At the same time, a lot of players are losing their cool once they are down by one or few goals as well. These things really have to change. However, other than that Chelsea are very great at the moment. The Blues are on a very great run right now of course.
Gary Lineker about Joao Pedro:
“I don’t think they probably necessarily bought him originally as thinking he’s a nine. But I don’t know, he might be the answer to that, I think,” he told The Rest Is Football.
“I mean, what’s his record in the last, it’s 17 goals in all competitions and eight Premier League goals since Rosenior took over.
“Really impressive. Yeah, very good. I mean, and credit to the coach for getting the best out of him as well.”

Rosenior said this about Joao Pedro “Yeah, he’s a top player. I think he’s grown in confidence. I think his hold-up play, the energy he puts into the team in terms of his press, his movement, his goal with the left foot is world-class. The finish is magnificent. But actually, I’m really, really delighted with his two tap-ins that he got. He was in the right place at the right time. We worked hard with him on that, but he gets the hat-trick. It’s really hard to single someone out. I thought it was an outstanding team performance, starting with Filip, going through the back line, midfield, Moises, Enzo, Romeo when he comes on, Garnacho we’ve spoken about. I just thought it was an outstanding team performance.”
He said “It’s only significant if we back it up. We have to be consistent. We have a massive FA Cup game, then we’ve got a huge game in Paris, and then we’ve got another huge game against Newcastle. We just need to back it up and not look at the significance of the games. We just need to perform, and if we perform at that level, we’re going to be in a good place.”
