Authorities told TMZ that the small forward was arrested around 2 a.m. and released from custody at approximately 3:20 a.m. TMZ also obtained a mug shot of Brooks.
According to the report, Brooks was respectful and cooperative with officers before being released.
Brooks, who has reportedly earned $105 million during his NBA career, has been sidelined for the past few weeks with a fractured hand. He had surgery to repair a fractured left hand and could miss another month of action.
Brooks, 30, is known for playing the villain role in the NBA and being a tough defender.

He is in the midst of his best NBA season, averaging a career-high 20.9 points and 3.7 rebounds, all while providing his usual hard-nosed personality.
The nine-year NBA veteran is playing his first season with the Suns after spending six years in Memphis and two seasons in Houston.
