Brooks was arrested around 2 a.m. and released from custody at 3:20 a.m., according to TMZ, which obtained Brooks’ booking photo.

Brooks is in his first year with the Suns after being acquired in the offseason trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets.

He is currently sidelined with a fractured left hand, and the team said on Feb. 24 he would be reevaluated in four to six weeks, a timeframe that could see him return in the last week of March through the end of the first week in April.

Brooks is averaging 20.9 points, a career-high, along with 3.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists.

Brooks, who has taken to “The Villain” persona, was suspended for the first game out of the NBA All-Star break after he reached his 16th technical, which triggers a suspension by league rule.
