Nico O'Reilly is expected to return to the squad for the trip to Newcastle in the fifth round of the FA Cup. The midfielder missed the midweek draw with Nottingham Forest after sustaining an injury at Elland Road last weekend.
This will be the fifth time the two sides have met this season, having been drawn against each other in the two-legged Carabao Cup semi-final, so manager Pep Guardiola isn't expecting any surprises.
“It’s the same for them,” he said at Friday's press conference.
“It is what it is, we know each other quite well.
“We know each other, no surprises. It’s not the first time this season. How many times with Newcastle and Eddie Howe have we played. A lot.”
City beat Newcastle in the Carabao Cup at St James Park in January, with Antoine Semenyo and Rayan Cherki netting for the Blues. Overall City have won 82 of the 198 games played against Newcastle, with 42 draws and 74 defeats.
Predicted line-up: Trafford, Khusanov, Stones, Guehi, Ake, Gonzalez, Reijnders, Cherki, Savinho, Doku, Marmoush
Score prediction: Newcastle 1 City 2
