Tottenham are said to be considering a big decision as they prepare for the final stretch.

Tottenham may have already realised they made a mistake when appointing Thomas Frank’s replacement. Frank was sacked after leaving Tottenham far too close to the relegation zone for comfort, but they rolled the dice when deciding on his replacement.

Former Juventus boss Igor Tudor was appointed despite having put together a rather unimpressive career so far and struggling for longevity at all of his clubs.

Tudor was only appointed on a deal until the end of the season, but appointing a manager with no experience of the Premier League in Tottenham’s position was always going to be risky.

Spurs have lost all three games since appointing Tudor, conceding nine goals in the process, and Monday’s home defeat to Crystal Palace left a feeling of hopelessness at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With West Ham having won and Nottingham Forest having drawn, Spurs are now just one point above the relegation zone and bang out of form.

Relegation is now a serious concern, and with Tudor clearly not having an impact so far, TeamTalk have reported that Spurs are already considering a pivot.

In a desperate bid to avoid the Championship, it’s reported that Spurs are considering hiring former striker and current Ferencvaros boss Robbie Keane.

Keane also lacks Premier League management experience, but he is a well-liked figure at Spurs, and he has a wealth of experience from his time as a player. He is also a man who knows the club inside-out, and that’s something Tudor certainly comes up short on.

Whether Keane will leave is current role at this stage of the season remains to be seen, but the report suggests Spurs are already considering a change. For now, Tudor will remain in charge and is likely to take charge of the Champions League first leg with Atletico Madrid next week.
