Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has established himself as one of the best in his position in the league. He won the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year award for his defensive contributions and broke the single-season sack record as well.
Despite his best efforts, the Browns finished 5-12 in the regular season and missed the playoffs. Now, he is enjoying the offseason, often with his girlfriend. However, he has recently caught negative attention due to a mistake.
Myles Garrett gets another speeding ticket
Garrett had yet another good season with the Browns, with 60 combined tackles, 33 tackles for loss, 23 sacks (the most in a single season), and 3 forced fumbles. Even though it did not inspire his franchise to the playoffs, it was one of his best seasons ever. Garrett has been enjoying his offseason, often hanging out with his girlfriend Chloe Kim, and was even at the 2026 Winter Olympics to support her.

Recently, Garrett received a speeding ticket while driving in Ohio. It was his ninth speeding citation ever since he joined the league as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. It happened on February 21, 2026 at around 1:35 a.m. on northbound Interstate 71 in Wayne County, Ohio, near Congress Township between Cleveland and Columbus.
TMZ Sports reported that he was driving a green Porsche at 94 mph in a 70 mph zone, exceeding the limit by 24 mph. According to reports from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and court records, as well as bodycam footage from the deputies involved, the officers did detect speeds over 100 mph but cited him for the lesser 94 mph violation. Garrett was described as being “kind and cooperative” during the traffic stop. He will be fined over $100 but may contest it with a court date of March 10.
His history of speeding tickets dates back to his rookie season. In 2022, he survived a serious single-vehicle rollover crash in his Porsche after swerving to avoid an animal, resulting in a citation for driving 65 mph in a 45 mph zone and a shoulder injury. Fans are now concerned about his history of traffic violations and have responded to it online.
