LeBron James reached another major milestone in his NBA career on Thursday, March 5. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in field goals made. James now leads the league in scoring and baskets made all-time.
After the Lakers’ battle against the Denver Nuggets, the veteran superstar Nikola Jokic dropped some praise about LeBron during his postgame presser.

“He’s a really really really legendary player in this league,” Jokic told reporters.
“What he did and how consistent he is throughout his life or career, he’s still influencing the game, and teams are still preparing for him even in whatever year he is in the NBA. He’s still pushing the pace. He’s still leading the league, probably in transition points. He’s definitely a legendary player.”
There’s no question about LeBron James’ legendary status at this point. He owns many records and will surely go down as one of the best players to compete in the NBA.
The only shocking factor at this point is the fact that he’s still competing this way at such a high level.

At 41, LeBron has appeared in 44 games this season. Despite missing action at the beginning of the year due to a setback, LeBron was back on track rather quickly.
This season, he is posting averages of 21.4 points (50% FG, 31% 3PT), 5.6 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game.
For the 22nd time, LeBron James was voted as an NBA All-Star.
At this point, there isn’t much more for LeBron to accomplish. Everything else is just a bonus.
One bonus the former MVP wants is another championship trophy to add to the collection. It’s been years since LeBron James made it to the NBA Finals. The Lakers hoped that a full season of LeBron and Luka Doncic would get it done.
The jury is still out on that one. The Lakers are navigating through March as the sixth seed in the Western Conference. They have a 37-25 record. They’ve won five of their last 10, coming up short against the Nuggets on Thursday.
The Lakers won’t get much time to rest. They return to the court on Friday, March 6, to take on the Indiana Pacers at home. It’s unclear if LeBron will get the nod to play.
Not only is James entering all back-to-backs as questionable this year, but he suffered a minor setback during the Nuggets matchup.
Heading into the action, the Pacers are 15-47 on the year. Without their star guard, Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers have struggled to follow up with a contending season. They are currently 15th in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers have lost seven games in a row before taking on the Lakers.
The game tips off at 10:30 PM ET.
