The Los Angeles Chargers desperately need to address the interior offensive line this season, particularly at center following Bradley Bozeman’s retirement. The consensus top three centers slated to hit free agency include Tyler Linderbaum, Connor McGovern, and Cade Mays. Linderbaum is expected to command more than $20 million, which could exceed what the Chargers are willing to pay, while McGovern could reach $16 million and Mays $12 million.

The Los Angeles Chargers hosted a visit with former Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders Pro Bowl center Tyler Biadasz at The Bolt El Segundo on Thursday. He spent the last two seasons with the Commanders and dealt with knee and ankle injuries later in the year, which kept him out of the season finale. He was released a week ago, but it wasn’t processed until this week. Since Biadasz was released rather than his contract expiring, the Chargers can sign him now rather than waiting next week.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Chargers have signed Tyler Biadasz to a three-year, $30 million contract. He likely underwent a medical evaluation before signing, indicating that the knee and ankle injuries are not severe. As a result, Justin Herbert will have a Pro Bowl center, leaving just two openings remaining on the offensive line. This also indicates that Tyler Linderbaum will either re-sign with the Baltimore Ravens or sign a blockbuster deal elsewhere, as Los Angeles seemed unwilling to meet his demands.
