Trent Kone-Doherty featured for Molde FK on Thursday in what was his first appearance since being sold by Liverpool last week.
Molde played host to Champions League competitors FK Bodø/Glimt in a Norwegian Cup tie.
Kone-Doherty did not start the fixture but came on for Jacob Christensen in the final 19 minutes of the clash.
Molde lost the match 2-1, but the former Liverpool man had a decent debut and his passing was a particularly bright point.

Kone-Doherty managed an 80% passing accuracy overall and completed 100% of his passes in the opposition half.
He had 12 total touches of the ball, won two duels and made one ball recovery during his time on the pitch.

The versatile winger joined Liverpool from the Derry Academy in 2022 and quickly began to impress in their youth ranks.
After scoring in a UEFA Youth League game in December 2024, ex-forward Neil Mellor said that Kone-Doherty was ‘absolutely magnificent’.
He ended up playing 79 games for Liverpool’s U21 and U18 sides, scoring 25 and assisting 10 before he was sold to Molde last week.
A couple of days later, U21 manager Rob Page explained that Liverpool wanted to keep Kone-Doherty and even offered him a new contract.
He said: “We’ve lost a good player. In this job, you’re in it to develop players. He’s decided to move on. We wanted to keep him. There was an offer of a contract.
“So, disappointed to see him go, but that’s life. That’s development football. It gives others an opportunity now to step into his place, and we can focus on them.”

Liverpool focus on two more youngsters after Trent Kone-Doherty’s exit
As Page mentioned, the Doherty exit has opened the door for youngsters to get opportunities.
David Lynch has already said that with the winger now gone, Liverpool are focusing on creating pathways for Rio Ngumoha and Josh Abe.
Abe has since unfortunately picked up an injury that rules him out for the remainder of 2025/26, but the 15-year-old had been impressing prior to his issue, scoring eight and assisting three in 10 U18 Premier League ties this term.
Elsewhere, there is a clamour for Ngumoha to start more senior games this season, with the 17-year-old outperforming Kylian Mbappe on the chance creation front per 90 after his cameo in the midweek loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
