Angel Reese Reacts to Brother's Rare NBA Feat Not Seen In Over 3 Decades

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese has been her brother Julian's biggest supporter.

The 22-year-old Reese signed a two-way contract with the Washington Wizards back on Feb. 28, and playing in just his third game in the NBA, Reese made quite the impression.

The former Maryland Terrapin finished Thursday's 122-112 loss to the Utah Jazz with an impressive 18-points, 20-rebound performance. It was the most rebounds by any rookie this season, and it also marked a bit of history as well.

Reese became the first Wizards rookie since Tom Gugliotta (20) back in 1993 to record 20 rebounds in a game, according to the team. He also became the first Wizards payer since Antawn Jamison back in 2010 to record 10 offensive and 10 defensive rebounds in a game, according to ESPN Insights.

Reese's performance earned him a lot of praise on social media, including a shoutout from his big sister as well.

"JUJU MF REESE. @Reese10Julian," Angel wrote before posting "what a great night. 🙃" in a follow-up tweet.

Both Reeses actually had reason to celebrate Thursday night.

They became the first brother-sister duo in NBA/WNBA history to each record a 20-rebound game in their respective leagues, according to OptaStats. Both did so during their rookie seasons.

Stats Muse also reported that Angel was the youngest WNBA player in history with 18 or more points and 10 or more offensive rebounds in a game, and Julian became the youngest player in NBA history to accomplish the same feat.
