Liverpool team confirmed to face Wolves in the FA Cup at Molineux.

Liverpool have made four changes for the FA Cup fifth-round tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Reds face Rob Edwards’ side for a second time in four days at Molineux, having suffered a 2-1 loss on Tuesday.

Arne Slot has opted to rotate his team, with 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha handed a start. The winger has been making an impact off the bench lately, hitting the post earlier this week when the score was locked at 1-1. There has been a clamour for Ngumoha to be handed a chance from the outset, including Kop legend Steven Gerrard.

Ngumoha replaces Hugo Ekitike, with Cody Gakpo set to spearhead the attack. Meanwhile, there appears to be three changes to defence. Andy Robertson comes in for Milos Kerkez at left-back, while Curtis Jones may operate as a makeshift right-back with Jeremie Frimpong dropping to the bench.

Ibrahima Konate is also rested, with Joe Gomez coming in to partner Virgil van Dijk at centre-half. Meanwhile, Slot’s substitute options have been boosted with Florian Wirtz back in the squad after an injury.

Liverpool: Alisson, Jones, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Salah, Gakpo, Ngumoha.

Subs: Mamardashvili, Konate, Kerkez, Wirtz, Chiesa, Ekitike, Frimpong, Nyoni, Morrison.
