It's been 298 days since Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum crumpled to the Madison Square Garden hardwood after suffering a torn Achilles during Game 4 of the team's Eastern Conference semifinals series against the New York Knicks.
With JT officially set to return to action on Friday night, Knicks All-Star guard Jalen Brunson discussed his rival's comeback and made a surprising admission about Tatum's injury.
"Brunson said this morning at shootaround that he initially thought Tatum rolled his ankle when he tore his Achilles inside MSG," Knicks insider James L. Edwards of The Athletic posted on Bluesky. "Added that he’s happy Tatum is back. Said he known him a long time and called him a good person and hard worker, on top of being a great player."

The Celtics host the Dallas Mavericks on Friday in a rematch of the 2024 NBA Finals, which Boston won in five games.
Tatum is reportedly going to be on a minutes restriction during the contest, as he comes back with 20 games left in the regular season.
It's sure to be an electric atmosphere at TD Garden.
