Patriots Predicted To Sign Massachusetts Native To Support Drake Maye

The New England Patriots might be looking to make some moves to improve their pass-catching situation this offseason.

While a majority of people are pointing to New England's need to upgrade its wide receiver room, it could actually make a significant addition at the tight end position.

There are a few tight ends available on the open market, and Tyler Sullivan from CBS Sports believes that Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely will likely find his way to New England.

"New England needs to surround Drake Maye with more weapons, and most believe that'll come via securing a wide receiver," Sullivan wrote on Friday. However, don't sleep on Isaiah Likely being a target for the Patriots either. Josh McDaniels-run offenses have heavily featured the tight end position, and Hunter Henry is set to play in the final year of his contract in 2026."

"That creates a sneaky need for the franchise, and Likely, who turns 26 in April, flashed the potential to be a dominating receiving threat over his tenure in Baltimore. Not only would Likely find himself aligned with an MVP-caliber quarterback inside a tight end-friendly offense, but this would also be a homecoming for the Massachusetts native."

Likely has been with the Ravens for the past four seasons, recording 1,568 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns over 63 games.

The Patriots should consider adding Likely to their roster, as he could be a solid option to complement Henry.
